Four years ago I was swept up in the magic of my first Bonnaroo and part of that experience was discovering K. Flay. She is a female rapper from Canada and I loved the way she sampled popular songs live with ableton. I was ecstatic to see that she was on the Pygmalion lineup because it would mean a second opportunity to see a good artist in a smaller, more personable venue.

Unfortunately for K.Flay that meant playing in at a bar venue. I don’t have anything wrong with bar venues, but the problem was that through a large set of french doors just to the left of the stage was a dance hall… With complete disrespect to K.Flay the establishment blasted latin dance music throughout her late night performance. She was frustrated but performed like a champ and I enjoyed the twist with a live drummer and multi-instrumentalist (Guitar/Bass).
